I see myself in this piece. Mother’s Day has been complicated for me before and after motherhood. I definitely got an overflow of bottles in the cellar of unresolved feelings about my mom. Then at my 10 week ultrasound to find out I’ve miscarried, and my mom got mad at me about it. On a lighter note, back when I was an art director at Disney I worked on the movie poster for Bridge to Terabithia! Thank you for this today. You never know what will help with releasing suppressed emotions but glad you allowed the tears to flow.

I’m so sorry you went through that. A miscarriage is a very painful experience.

I had one myself. I closed myself off from the grief because I thought it was easier not to feel it. Years later, I allowed myself to mourn the loss and release the pain.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. So many women have gone through this, and it's healing to know we’re not alone. ❤️
